Phone scandal: Congress calls for Trump to be held accountable

Representatives of the Democratic Party Ted Lew and Kathleen Rice asked the FBI to prosecute the abuse of power by incumbent President Donald Trump.

At issue is Trump’s conversation with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, during which the White House leader demanded to ensure his victory in the state.

The demand to investigate the actions of the President of the United States on his Twitter page wrote Ted Lieu.

“As former prosecutors, Kathleen Rice and I believe Donald Trump committed multiple crimes when he demanded that Georgia Secretary of State Raffensperger find 11,780 votes during a phone call. We went to the FBI today,” the congressman wrote
