British actor Pierce Brosnan, who from 1995 to 2002 performed the role of superspy James Bond, named potential candidates for Agent 007.
During an interview with People, Brosnan praised Bond performer Daniel Craig.
“Craig can walk away with his head held high, shoulders squared. He left an indelible mark on the history of the franchise,” Brosnan said.
He confessed he didn’t know who would take Bond’s place when Craig left, but he did name actors he thinks would be a good fit, Idris Elba and Tom Hardy.
“Idris Elba comes to mind. There’s so much power and tension in him. He would be great. I’d also single out Tom Hardy. He knows how to be brutal and also charming as a boy or rather, they both can do it,” Brosnan said.
The new film of the James Bond franchise “No Time to Die” is scheduled to premiere at the end of September 2021.
