Pompeo spoke on US-Russian cooperation

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo identified two areas where cooperation between Russia and the United States is possible. According to Pompeo, the two countries can help each other in the fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and terrorism.

In an interview with the Washington Examiner, Secretary of State Pompeo recalled that President Donald Trump, after talking with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, decided to send tests for the virus and ventilation machines to the Russian Federation.

Pompeo also praised the contacts between Russia and the United States through special services, writes RIA Novosti.

“They saved American lives by providing us with information. We helped them prevent the terrorist attack that was planned in St. Petersburg,” said Pompeo.

In conclusion, Pompeo said that “by interacting with the Russians on these issues,” Americans can “clarify their expectations.”
