Kosovo President Hashim Thachi has been charged with crimes against humanity and war crimes

“A statement issued on Wednesday at June 24 by the Hague special tribunal for the investigation of war crimes in Kosovo states that President Thachi and other suspects are“ held criminally responsible for about 100 murders. ”Hundreds of Kosovo’s crimes were affected as a result of the crimes in question “Albanians, Serbs, Gypsies and representatives of other nationalities, as well as political opponents of the accused,” the publication said.
Other allegations include enforced disappearance, harassment and torture.
Tachi was among the founders of the Kosovo Liberation Army; in the late 1990s, she fought against Serbian forces for Kosovo’s independence. Tachi was the political leader of the army.
The war in Kosovo in 1998-1999 killed more than 10 thousand people, 1641 people are still missing.
