Superman and Batman seem to be the most recognizable superheroes. But the only thing is that their screen incarnations have not always been successful and liked by the audience.
Thus, Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” received rave reviews from film critics, while Joel Schumacher’s “Batman & Robin” received the minimum number of positive reviews. The average rating on review site Rotten Tomatoes is 53%. Comparing all the Superman film versions, the rating concluded that this is the worst movie franchise ever!
“We looked at all the movies that fall under each franchise, including sub-series within the larger universe (e.g., The Avengers, Iron Man and The First Avenger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe). We also included franchise relaunches (for example, we combined all the Spider-Man films into one item),” the authors of the rating explained the principle of their evaluations.
Thus, in the top five worst according to the compilers also included “Batman”, “DC Universe Extended” – they shared second place and gained 59% each, “Wolverine” and “X-Men” rose slightly higher, they have 67%.
