Producers decide to remake the cult series "True Blood"

“True Blood,” the famous American series about vampires living openly among humans, wants to reboot the producers of “Riverdale.”

According to Variety, producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is in talks with HBO to revive the gothic vampire drama. Alan Ball, who created the original series in 2008, is also featured in the potential project. Aguirre-Sacasa will write the scripts for the new version along with NOS4A2 producer Jami O’Brien.

“None of the original cast members of the series are currently set to return to the series,” Variety writes. The lead roles in the original True Blood were played by Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgard.
