According to the demonstrators, the detainee, 23-year-old Ibrahim Barry, was killed by police officers. The action began peacefully, but then the protesters started throwing stones and firecrackers at the police. Even King Philip of Belgium got into the epicenter of the unrest. His motorcade was on its way to the residence and for a few minutes found itself in the crosshairs of the protesters. Stones were also thrown at the monarch’s car. The driver had to urgently get out onto another street. Philip himself was not hurt.
