The deployment of the Russian orbital service station ROSS is scheduled to begin in five to six years. This was announced by Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Rogozin on Thursday during the “New Knowledge” marathon.
“We are planning to start deployment of this station in about five to six years,” Rogozin noted.
According to him, the base module of our new orbital station will be the NEM Science and Energy Module.
“This is already a completely new generation of orbital modules. The new station will have an open architecture, and similar modules will replace each other in case of resource exhaustion,” Roscosmos head said.
