Mass unemployment and increasing poverty are the main risks for the world. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during his speech at the G20 summit, which is held in the format of a video conference.
According to him, the scale of the problems that mankind faced in 2020 is unprecedented. The Russian leader noted that the pandemic launched a systemic economic crisis, which the world has not known since the “Great Depression”.
Putin said that Russia had aimed to minimize the consequences of the pandemic by 4.5 percent of GDP. According to him, this allowed to avoid irreversible losses.
