The actor Ryan Grantham was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his mother.
Grantham is well-known for his character on Diary of a Wimpy Kid as well as his role in Riverdale He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in March of 2020 to murder the mother of his character, Barbara Waite.

The lawyer representing the child actor Chris Johnson said, according to CTV the channel, that Grantham was not shocked by the sentence. “I think he anticipated what the judge gave him as a sentence,” Johnson stated. “I think he’s pretty apprehensive about the whole thing. He’s a fairly tiny person, and to go to the prison system, I’m sure it’s a daunting and scary thought for him.”
Ker also mentioned Grantham’s “diminutive” size and said she would not recommend Grantham to be sent to the maximum security prison.

Complex revealed Grantham’s younger sister Lisa Grantham found their mother on April 1st. Lisa provided an impact statement of the victim with the court. She said that she was a mother who battled cancer she had been her “best friend.”
“She was vulnerable and Ryan gave her no chance to defend herself. It pains me to know he was a danger to her life,” she told Complex. in a report by Complex. She and her mother’s daughter told the court that they “fear his release from prison.”
