Microsoft has shown a gameplay trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, the game is subtitled Heart of Chernobyl. Also, at the 90-minute American company’s conference at E3 2021, the project’s release date was announced. Information was published on the website of the gaming division of Mirosoft.

It is noted that the release will take place on April 28, 2022 on Xbox Series and PC (on the Steam, EGS and Microsoft Store online game stores), as well as on Xbox Game Pass, a Microsoft service that provides access to a library of games by subscription. Pre-order for the game was launched the day the gameplay was shown.

The video showed players the swamps from “S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Skies,” a teaser of the new faction, the city of Chernobyl-2 near Pripyat, and a new sensor called Gilka. Sergei Grigorovich, the creator of the series, also appeared on the broadcast.

The first part of the popular series from the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World – “S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl” – was released in 2007. In 2008 and 2009 the studio released sequels – “S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky” and “S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: The Call of Pripyat.
