Saquon Barkley and Anna Congdon’s Relationship Timeline

College sweethearts. Since before he was drafted by New York Giants, Saquon Barkley has been with Anna Congdon, his long-term love.

They met at Penn State University and made their official relationship in January 2017.

She posted via Instagram, January 2018, the following: “One year with king!” Who would have thought that being a bit crazy on this day would lead us to what we have today? You have given me so much in such an incredibly short time. Thank you for your patience, wisdom, and understanding. You are truly one-of-a-kind. Your love is not taken for granted.”

The running back wrote a personal tribute to the occasion, writing “Thankful for this year with you!” We love you.

Barkley decided to skip his senior year at PSU, and instead entered the NFL draft. Congdon revealed that she was pregnant in March 2018.

She captioned a photo taken at her baby shower, “One month until @saquon & i get to see our little angel,”

Congdon gave birth to their child on April 24, 2018, less than 48 hours after being selected second overall in the 2018 draft.

“Words cannot even describe what I feel right now. “You are the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen in my entire life,” the Heisman Trophy finalist posted via Instagram. Thank God for blessing me with your presence in my life and into mine. I pray I can be the best dad to you and help your grow into an amazing woman. You are my #DaddysLittleGirl Jada Clare barkley 4.24.18

Barkley suffered injuries in his first two seasons with the Giants. Questions about Barkley’s relationship with Congdon surfaced after they allegedly deleted old photos of themselves. He gave Congdon a shout-out in 2022 for encouraging him to finish his undergraduate degree at Penn State.

“Everyone supported me. Tonya Johnson and my parents Alibay Barkley pushed me to achieve it. Anna and coach Franklin pushed me to attain it. Coach Huff was my running back coach at that time and I was thrilled to do it,” he said to reporters in May 2018. I also felt it would be a good idea to earn my degree in order to set an example to my siblings and family. It was something I had always wanted to do. My children, including Jada, are my goal-setters. Anything they set their minds to, they will achieve it. It would be great if they could one day declare that they want to achieve this and see it become a reality.
