Scientists named a way to speed up recovery from COVID-19

Scientists from Oxford University have found a way to speed up the process of recovery from COVID-19 infection.

The use of inhaler from asthma is named as one of effective methods. According to studies, the use of budesonide, a drug that is used for asthma, speeds up the recovery process for the disease. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and immunosuppressive effects.

One participant in the study called the discovery “a milestone for the pandemic.” The experts also noted that, thanks to budesonide, patients recovered on average three days faster.

Earlier Aleksandr Gintsburg, director of Gamaleya Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology, named the condition under which a person is guaranteed not to fall ill with COVID-19. According to the specialist, if a person has antibodies to S-protein or to most of it, he cannot fall ill with coronavirus and will remain protected from the disease.
