Following allegations of sexual assault by actress Evan Rachel Wood as well as several other women, California State Senator Susan Rubio filed a formal request with the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI to investigate musician Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner.
The proposal was sent to Acting Attorney General Monty Wilkinson and FBI Director Christopher Wray. The document was made public by accuser Wood herself.
On Feb. 1, the actress officially called Manson her rapist during a relationship that lasted from 2007 to 2010. “He started courting me when I was a teenager and abused me horribly for years,” Wood stated. Four other women have since made similar accusations.
Although the accusers have not filed suit, Manson has already lost his contracts with his record label and television stations, where he starred in several projects. Manson himself denies all accusations.
