The legislator urged Americans to follow his example

Ohio Republican Senator Rob Portman announced that he is participating in the third phase of clinical trials of the COVID-19 vaccine, which is being developed by Johnson & Johnson, a U.S. multinational corporation.

Portman, 64, said he hopes to build public confidence in the vaccines as America prepares for mass vaccination against the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

“Getting a safe and effective vaccine is the most important thing we can do to defeat COVID19,” Portman wrote on Twitter. – I encourage people to participate in the trials and be confident in the vaccine as soon as it is approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
