Transformers and Cute Boy star Shia LaBeouf has had a long way to go to rebuild his reputation after a racist scandal in 2017. After publicly apologising and attending anger management therapy, he seems to have risen in the public eye. However, a new scandal could finally put a damper on his career – the actor has been blacklisted in Hollywood.
Former co-star Thalia Barnett (also known as FKA Twigs) has sued LaBeouf for rape, battery, assault and causing emotional distress. The lawsuit alleges a shocking list of abuse, including strangulation, beatings, intentionally infecting her with STDs and more. Barnett also says the defendant confessed to her about secretly shooting dogs in Los Angeles, which left her “deeply disturbed and frightened”.
Following such heavy accusations, LaBeouf has dropped out of several projects, nor will he be cast in any new roles – at least in the near future. In response to the allegations, LaBeouf released a statement saying he was “sorry to have offended anyone”. His lawyer told Variety, the actor is set to go for “intensive and long-term inpatient treatment”.
LaBeouf has previously been at the centre of scandals on several occasions, admitting to drug use and father issues.
