Smoke was seen above the Palace of Westminster in London

Video of the scene has already hit the web.

The Palace of Westminster is an important political and cultural building in the whole of Great Britain. It is where the parliament of the country meets. It is located on the banks of the River Thames, in London. Executed in the neo-Gothic style, it is in many ways the embodiment of an entire era.

And so, it became known that on the roof of this building many passersby noticed the smoke. So, people began to take pictures with cameras of the puffs of smoke that emanate from the roof of the left wing, and then publish them on social networks.

According to the Express, a fire alarm went off in the building. However, the London Fire Brigade said that they had not yet received any information about an emergency situation in the building.

Other sources in Parliament told journalists that the video was in fact not smoke but “steam”. However, they did not specify the reason for the alarm. However, later it was found out that it was a malfunction and there should not have been any alarm.
