State Department to pay up to $ 1 million for information about Ukrainian hackers

The US State Department has appointed a monetary reward for information that will help arrest Ukrainian hackers Artyom Radchenko and Alexander Eremenko. This was stated by US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, his words are quoted by the press service.

“The indictment alleges that Radchenko and Eremenko hacked the EDGAR system of the US Securities and Exchange Commission and stole thousands of confidential files, which were then illegally sold for profit,” the Secretary of State said.

According to TASS, the New Jersey state attorney’s office has already brought charges against Radchenko. It was reported that he and his accomplices hacked into the closed databases of the American regulator, also stole financial information of corporations, including information about profits, and then passed it on to exchange players. In three years, hackers illegally received more than $ 4.1 million.
