Starting from May 24, 5G network is available to subscribers of the mobile operator Tele2 in Stockholm, and in a month’s time Gothenburg and Malmo residents will also have access to the network.

The 5G network was launched in Sweden on May 24, the press service of mobile operator Tele2 reported.

From Sunday, the network will be available to customers of the operator in Stockholm. On June 24, the network will be available to residents of two other cities – Gothenburg and Malmo.

Anders Nilsson, General Director of Tele2, reminded that 10 years ago the operator launched the 4G network. The new network, he said, “will be even faster and safer. “With 5G the possibilities are limitless,” says Nilsson.

The company’s press service specified that the data transmission speed in the 5G network will be from one gigabit per second, which is four times faster than 4G.
