The violence with firearms in Chicago does not stop. Only last weekend 47 people were wounded in shootings, 5 were killed.
According to ABC7Chicago, on Saturday morning in Auburn-Gresham city six people were injured in only one incident. The report said that an unknown armed criminal opened fire on the crowd around 2:15 a.m.. Darryl Martin, a witness to the shooting, told the radio station that the dispute had escalated to shooting.
NBC Chicago reported last week that the city is approaching 700 homicides and is going through a year of gun violence that has increased by 50 percent since 2019. The report said that the city has already experienced more murders than in 2016, when there was a lot of violence.
