Tesla returns Musk to the top three richest people in the world

Tesla shares rose 8.2% on November 17 and 10.2% on November 18.

The founder of SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk, bypassed Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg in the list of the richest people in the world, ending up in third place. This is indicated by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI) data, which is updated daily.

Following the auction on November 18, Musk’s fortune increased by $ 10.2 billion – to $ 120 billion. This is the largest daily increase in the list. Zuckerberg lost $ 1.11 billion in a day, his fortune is estimated at $ 103 billion.

Jeff Bezos lost the most – $ 1.61 billion. But nothing threatens his leadership in the size of his fortune ($ 183 billion).

The value of Musk’s fortune was influenced by the exchange rate dynamics of Tesla. Its shares rose 8.2% on November 17 and 10.2% on November 18. One of the reasons for the increase is that in December it will be added to the S&P 500 broad market index, which it has been striving for for so long.

Recall that Musk first entered the top three billionaires in September this year. He was soon pushed out of there by Zuckerberg, as Facebook shares began to rise.
