At 74, the Australian actor Hugh Keays-Byrne, who played villains in the first and fourth parts of the franchise “Mad Max”, died.
The actor was born in India to a British family, began his career in the UK, but during a tour of the theater donkey in Australia, then went to Hollywood. However, the most famous of his works were two roles in the saga “Mad Max”. In the first film in 1979, Kiyas-Bern appeared as the leader of a gang of bikers nicknamed the Ripper. After 36 years, he again starred in the project, but as another character. In the part “Mad Max: The Road of Fury” in 2015, he was transformed into the king of the desert Nesmert Joe. For this role he was nominated for the MTV Movie & TV Awards as “Best Villain”.
In his early years, he played in productions of the Royal Shakespeare Company, starred in the TV series “Moby Dick” and the films “Galactic War”, “On the Edge of the Universe.
