Audio manufacturer from the United States Grado Labs has released headphones, the body of which is made of hemp. They are sold at a symbolic price of $ 420.
The Grado Labs brand, which specializes in audio technology, was founded 67 years ago by watchmaker Joseph Grado. Since then, three generations of the Grado family have been running the company.
The company is based in Brooklyn (New York, USA), and it is known primarily for its high-quality headphones and a love of experimentation.
Periodically, the brand releases limited collections of headphones, the body of which is made of unusual materials. For example, in 2018 Grado used the wood of barrels for whiskey.
In 2018 – Harley-Davidson motorcycle pistons.
Now the company has paid attention to another unusual material – hemp. On the eve of Grado introduced a new limited collection of headphones, the body of which is made of highly compressed recycled hemp and maple.
“We have an endless desire to experiment with all kinds of wood and materials, and we had the opportunity to use hemp. We were not sure how these headphones would turn out, but to everyone’s surprise, they quickly became a favorite, ”noted Grado, adding that they consider these limited collection“ the best we have created. ”
A limited series of Grado headphones is already available for pre-order on the site. The price of the headphones in this series is symbolic – 420 dollars. As you know, 4:20 (as well as 16:20) is a popular time for marijuana use.
