At least two people were killed when the car hit a crowd in the city of Trier in Germany. The city police reported this on Twitter.
“We detained one person and confiscated one car. According to the first data, two people were killed. Please stay away from the city center,” the police post said. In previous reports, law enforcement officers ask not to spread rumors and speculations about the situation and wait for official information.
It became known earlier on 1 December that an unknown assailant hit people in the Trier pedestrian zone. Initially the number of deaths was not reported.
In November a car drove into the fence of the office of the German chancellor Angela Merkel. On the car crashed into the gate was written “cursed killers of children and old people” and “stop the policy of globalization.
At the end of October the car entered the crowd in the German city of Kempen near Dusseldorf and one person died.
