Scott Gottlieb, the former head of the Food and Drug Administration, warns of an “exponential increase” in coronavirus cases as states are increasingly removing quarantine restrictions.
Dr. Scott Gottlieb warned that some states, especially in the south, will see a rapid increase in new patients, as Americans increasingly visit public places and ignore the rules of social distance.
Gottlieb is worried that states such as Texas, Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina and Arizona are “dropping in exponential growth” this week. “The problem is that everything looks good, until suddenly a sharp increase in patients begins, and it grows, so this should concern everyone who monitors the situation. And there is no way to influence proliferation in order to put an end to it, except for tough measures, ”Gottlieb said.
