Iranian Foreign Ministry employee Asdullah Asadi, who worked in Vienna, is suspected of preparing a terrorist attack in Paris.
It is noted that Asadi and three other Iranian citizens are accused of preparing a terrorist attack on the Iranian opposition march in Paris in 2018. This is reported by Israel Hayom.
It is reported that in 2018, Belgian security officials prevented an attempt to smuggle explosives and weapons across the border into French territory.
Weapons and half a kilogram of explosives were tried to carry 40-year-old Amir Sadoni and 36-year-old Nasima Naami. The fourth suspect in the case is the 57-year-old Iranian poet Maaradad Arpani.
All four are charged with planning an attack and membership in a terrorist organization. If found guilty, they could receive a life sentence.
The French government has also accused Iranian intelligence of involvement in a terrorist attack.
