On Monday, August 6, the famous French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo died. The 88-year-old actor’s death was reported by TV channel France 24 with reference to his lawyer.
The cause of death was not called. The actor’s lawyer only said that “lately the actor felt tired.
Belmondo was born in 1933 in France into the family of a Parisian sculptor Paul Belmondo. His film debut was in 1957 in the film “Moliere”, but the episodes with his participation were cut just before the release of the picture on the screens.
Jean-Paul Belmondo became world famous for his films “Last Gasp” and “The Professional”.
Belmondo called one of the most commercially successful actors of France until 1986.
In 2001, Belmondo suffered a stroke and has since stopped working in theater and film. In 2008, he returned to the set to participate in director Francis Huster’s The Man and His Dog.
In 2015, the actor announced the end of his film career.
