The storming of the Capitol the day before was an act of domestic terrorism. That’s what Washington Mayor Mariel Bowser called it at a press conference,
“I call on the Joint Working Group on Terrorism to investigate, detain and prosecute anyone who entered the Capitol grounds, destroyed other people’s property or committed acts of domestic terrorism,” the mayor said, urging the US Congress to create a panel to investigate what happened.
Bowser stressed that President Donald Trump should be held accountable, as should his supporters. According to the politician, the head of state wanted the Capitol to be a riot.
