The Ministry of Health is considering the return of green passports.
This issue was raised against the backdrop of an increase in the number of infections and concerns about the ultra-infectious Delta strain of coronavirus.
“Green passports” gave benefits to those who had been vaccinated.
On June 1, the plan, under which only vaccinated citizens could eat inside a restaurant and attend most cultural events, was repealed.
According to a Haaretz source at the Ministry of Health, unless additional restrictions are imposed, there could be 600 new cases of infection per day by next week.
