The number of detected cases of coronavirus infection in the world has reached the 100 million mark. This is evidenced by data from the Johns Hopkins University project leading statistics on pandemic COVID-19.

According to the latest data, 100,032,461 infected people are reported. The U.S. has the most cases of infection (25,335,606). Also in the top five of the anti-infection rankings were India (10,676,838), Brazil (8,871,393), Russia (3,716,228) and the United Kingdom (3,700,235).

Since the start of the pandemic, which has affected 192 countries, 2,149,385 patients have died of coronavirus complications, most of them in the United States, Brazil and India.
