At the same time, Trump’s lawyers explained on Thursday that they do not attach importance to the results of vote recount in the “disputed” states, as they believe that the problem is quite different.
U.S. presidential candidate from Democrats Joe Biden won the elections on November 3 in Georgia, announced on Friday the state secretary of state Brad Raffensperger.
“Numbers do not lie. I believe the data we presented today is correct,” said Raffensperger, who is quoted by the American media.
According to the state authorities, Biden in Georgia was ahead of current president Donald Trump by about 12 thousand votes. They published this result after recounting the votes.
If Trump’s staff fails to challenge these results, it will be the first time since 1992 that a Democrat presidential candidate has outpaced a Republican in Georgia.
Georgia is one of the states where Trump’s headquarters has claimed to have experienced significant voting irregularities. Trump’s lawyers believe that these violations allowed Biden at the very end of the vote count to outrun the incumbent head of state.
