According to a report published by the National Academy of Sciences of the United States, mysterious head injuries suffered by American diplomats in China and Cuba, which were described as “sound attacks”, correspond to the use of directed microwave energy.
“In general, directed pulsed radio frequency energy, especially in cases with distinct early manifestations, seems to be the most plausible mechanism to explain these cases among those considered by the committee,” the report says.
The experts also consider possible cases of persistent postural perceptual dizziness as a possible secondary problem for those who were the victims of the attacks.
Although the report does not conclude that the use of directed microwave energy in these cases was deliberate, it says that such actions can be used for nefarious purposes. “Even considering such a scenario raises serious concerns about a world where people can use such tools to harm others with evil intentions,” the report says.
