Apple has planned the release of a new smartphone in the coming months.
The device will be the successor to the iPhone SE presented in the spring of 2020. The model, which will be called the iPhone SE Plus, will come with a 6.1-inch display with a cutout for the front camera and Face ID sensor. In addition to the biometric sensor the device will get a fingerprint sensor – it will be located in the side button.
Unveiled device will have a single 12-megapixel camera, the current chip Apple A14 Bionic, support for 5G networks. The smartphone will come in three color options – black, red and white. Also iPhone SE Plus will get water and dust protection standard IP67.
Insiders said that the cost of the device will be $499, it will belong to the category of budget smartphones. For comparison, presented on April 15 iPhone SE was priced at $399. Analysts predict that thanks to the presence of the Touch ID sensor, which is relevant during the pandemic, 5G support and low cost, the new model will be popular in the market. The device is expected to release in the next few months.
Earlier journalists found in the network a new patent for Apple, according to which the company came up with how to solve the problem of irrelevant when wearing a Face ID mask. The document reports that, in addition to scanning the user’s face, the new sensor will also build its heat map.
