The House of Representatives was unanimous on the document.
The Foreign Affairs Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives approved a draft decision on imposition of sanctions against the Russian pipeline projects. The document provides for restrictions on the supply of technologies and equipment, the chairman of the board of Naftohaz Ukrayiny’s Naftohaz Ukrayiny National Joint-Stock Company, Andriy Kobolev, said.
Kobolev explained that the document “is surgically directed against the Kremlin’s political gas pipeline projects and does not affect other interests. According to the Ukrainian, joint efforts can stop the implementation of Russian scenarios and prevent damage to international energy security.
Meanwhile, Russia has once again put forward its conditions for maintaining transit through Ukraine. In return, Naftohaz is ready to speak only in the language of the contracts with its neighbour and explains that they want to be able to sue if Gazprom does not comply with the terms of the contracts. At the same time, they say that they have already started preparing for the winter. They do not rule out that Russia may once again use the old method of pressure – the gas war and Ukraine should be ready for it.
