An expert from the World Health Organization, Maria van Kerkkhove, said that most patients who have undergone coronavirus recover, write Izvestia.

According to her, the restoration takes place without consequences. But, as the expert noted, those who have had severe pneumonia or toxic shock can recover longer.

Earlier, Italian scientists said that the lungs of those who have had a coronavirus infection remain vulnerable for up to six months, and 30 percent of these patients may have breathing problems.

At the end of May, the vice-president of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Chekhonin said that antibodies to coronavirus are formed in about 30 percent of ill patients. These data make it possible to predict the formation and development of “population immunity”.
