On the territory of the prison in the U.S. city of Davisboro, Georgia, there was a fatal shooting.

The incident occurred on the night of Monday, December 28. The guards were examining the gap in the fence around the prison, through which two unknown men were trying to pass contraband to the prisoners. A firefight ensued between the two men, which resulted in the death of one of the unknown assailants.

A guard was wounded and taken to hospital. An investigation into the incident was opened.

According to the police, the reason for the conflict was a quarrel at a private club, where there were representatives of several biker clubs. Some of the arguers were kicked out of the establishment, but they later returned and began shooting. Those in the club returned fire. As a result, a 48-year-old man died. He died on the scene due to multiple gunshot wounds. Another 17 people were wounded.
