TikTok blocked more than 7 million children’s accounts

Short video creation and viewing service TikTok has blocked more than seven million accounts of children under the age of 13 during the first quarter of 2021.

Earlier, the company decided to remove videos posted by users under the age of 13 and those who did not specify their age.

This decision was made after the United States authorities fined TikTok $5.7 million for violating the law on protecting the privacy of children on the Internet.
