The popular dating app Tinder has launched a new feature that allows you to block users by phone number. Now you can download phone contacts to select certain people you want to avoid communicating with, whether it’s a former partner, colleague or relative.
According to a survey commissioned by Tinder, 40% of users have found a former partner on the app, 24% have met a relative and one in ten their teacher. The novelty has had time to test in India, Korea and Japan – blocked on average about 10 people.
In order to block an unwanted person, you will have to download the entire phone book. The service assures that this is done for convenience, and only stores contact information about the blocked.
