The popular dating app Tinder has launched a new feature that allows you to block users by phone number. You can now upload phone contacts to select certain people you’d like to avoid communicating with, whether it’s a former partner, colleague or relative.
According to a survey commissioned by Tinder, 40% of users found a former partner on the app, 24% met a relative and one in ten met their teacher. This is reported by TechCrunch. The novelty has been tested in India, Korea and Japan – blocked an average of about 10 people.
In order to block an unwanted person, you will have to download the entire phone book. The service assures that this is done for convenience, and only stores contact information about the blocked.
