Tony Blair urged Ukraine to listen to the U.S

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair urged Ukraine to listen to the U.S. on security issues in the first place. He said this at an international online lunch.

“I think it’s important for a country like Ukraine to realize that your basic security relationship will be with America and American allies. That doesn’t mean you can’t cooperate and trade with China, but you’ll probably have to do it prudently in the future,” the agency says.

Blair recalled that the Ukrainian state’s ultimate goal is to join the naTo bloc, and it has moved toward that goal in recent years. Before any radical steps, he stressed, Ukraine should consult with the USA.

On December 8, it was reported that the volume of weapons sales from the USA to Ukraine in 2020 was higher than ever. Washington sold weapons to Kiev for a record amount of 510.5 million dollars.
