U.S. President Donald Trump refused to wait until 2024 for an opportunity to run for the presidency. He stated this in his speech to the supporters in the state of Georgia.
Thus, the American leader once again made it clear that he was confident in his victory in the elections held in early November. “We are going to get the White House back, we are going to win it again. We’re also going to give back [the Republicans] control of the [U.S. Congress] House of Representatives,” Trump promised.
He expressed confidence he would not have to wait four years until the next election and become a presidential candidate again. “I don’t want to wait until 2024. I want to go back three weeks,” the White House head concluded.
Earlier, Trump asked the Georgian authorities for assistance in reviewing the results of the presidential election, calling for a local legislative assembly to discuss the election. According to the head of state, he would “easily and quickly” win in this state if voters’ signatures were checked on the mailed ballots.
Regular presidential elections were held in the United States on November 3, 2020. Currently, the counting of votes and proceedings are still ongoing. According to the media, the Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden won the necessary number of votes to win the election, thus bypassing Trump. The Democrat has already declared himself elected president of the USA. Trump, in turn, said that Biden has hurried to call himself the new leader of the country.
