Today Jews around the world begin celebrating Hanukkah.
U.S. President Donald Trump appeared at a Hanukkah party held at the White House on Wednesday evening, December 9.

“Let me wish everyone a Happy Hanukkah and about three of you here a Merry Christmas.

This is one of our most successful events. It’s one that everyone wants tickets to. I see a lot of friends here, a lot of talent, and I just want to thank everybody,” he told attendees in footage posted on Twitter.

The audience shouted, “Four more years!” to which Trump replied, “With the help of some very important people, if they have the wisdom and courage, we will win this election. We won it by a bigger margin than the first one. We got almost 75 million votes. The first time we got 63 million. We hoped to get 67 million votes.”

It is noted that Hanukkah at the White House for the first time was turned into a formal event by President George W. Bush.

President Barack Obama continued the tradition. Trump also held two Hanukkah parties every year of his presidency.
