Trump called calls for impeachment an ongoing witch hunt

U.S. President Donald Trump called calls for his impeachment a continuation of the “greatest witch hunt ever.”

“I think it causes terrible anger … We don’t want violence,” the White House head said.

In addition, the president said that the Democrats are making a “catastrophic mistake.”

The day before, Democrats introduced an article of impeachment of Trump in the U.S. Congress on “incitement to sedition.” According to the initiators of the accusation, Trump “incited violence” against U.S. authorities. The resolution was supported by at least 218 congressmen, enough to get it approved for a vote in the House of Representatives.

Speaking at a rally in Washington last week, Trump urged supporters to march to the Capitol to help Republicans challenge the presidential election. The crowd stormed the building, killing five people.
