The former U.S. president congratulated Nigeria for banning the social network Twitter from the country. The ban followed after the social network deleted the post of the President of Nigeria, who threatened separatists from the southeast of the country.
“Congratulations to the country of Nigeria, which just banned Twitter because it banned its president. More countries should ban Twitter and Facebook for not allowing freedom and open speech, all voices should be heard,” Trump said in a statement.
In addition, the former president stressed, “Who are they to decide what is good and what is evil if the evil is themselves? I call on other countries to ban Facebook and Twitter for obstructing free speech.”
As a reminder, Donald Trump has previously been banned from most social media outlets, including Twitter and Facebook.
