Donald Trump was offered to use the army to hold re-elections in swing states where Democratic candidate Joe Biden won. This advice was given to the current U.S. president by his former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
Flynn said that Trump could order the confiscation of voting machines. It was the malfunctioning of these installations that the politician attributed to his electoral defeat. “If he wanted to, he could have sent the military to swing states and just re-run elections there,” Flynn told Newsmax.
He added that such a move by the president would not be unprecedented. “People talk about martial law like we never enacted it. Martial law has been imposed 64 times,” Flynn explained.
On November 3, 2020, the U.S. held another presidential election. Biden won the number of electoral votes necessary for victory and overtook the current head of state Donald Trump. The Democrat has already named candidates for key positions in his administration.
