The policy of U.S. President Donald Trump has made an unprecedented contribution to undermining American democracy, Senator Bernie Sanders wrote on November 15 on his Twitter page.
“No figure in history has done more to undermine American democracy than Donald Trump,” Sanders said. The senator also accused Trump of attempting to delegitimize Obama’s presidency.
Trump’s refusal to admit his electoral defeat undermines democratic institutions, the senator said. “With his refusal to admit defeat [Trump] is now trying to undermine the presidency of Biden. Goodbye, Trump,” Sanders concluded.
On November 3 the elections of the US president took place, the main rivals of which were Trump representing the Republican Party and the candidate from Democratic Party Joe Biden.
On November 7 the leading American mass media announced about Biden’s victory in the elections.
