US President Donald Trump said that if he wins the presidential elections, a deal with Iran will be concluded in a short time. According to him, this can happen in a week or in a month.
“Let’s see what happens to Iran. After the elections, I think, in a week, maybe in a month, but in a very short time you will see that Iran will come and say that they want a deal. They want a deal, but they want to do it more with “Sleepy Joe” than with me, because my deal will be fairer. Just wait until the elections are held. If we win, we will make a deal with Iran, “Trump said at the meeting.
In 2015, Iran and the “six” of international mediators – Russia, the United States, Great Britain, China, France and Germany – reached an agreement to resolve the problem of the Iranian atom. The implementation of the adopted plan removes the economic and financial sanctions imposed on Iran by the UN Security Council, the United States and the European Union.
In 2018, the United States unilaterally withdrew from the deal with Iran on its nuclear program and re-imposed sanctions against Tehran, including secondary ones, that is, against other countries doing business with Iran. At the same time, China, India, Italy, Greece, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Turkey were given exemptions until May 2, 2019, that is, the States pledged not to impose sanctions against them for the purchase of certain volumes of Iranian oil. However, the White House did not extend these exemptions, hoping that this decision would reduce Iranian oil exports to zero.
