US President Donald Trump said his ex-adviser John Bolton “should be in prison.” He posted a statement on his Twitter.
He noted that the official is at the bottom of his life.
According to him, Bolton should be imprisoned due to an attempt to increase his income by selling top secret information.
“In the end, I had mercy on him – it was dishonest,” Trump concluded.
In October 2019, it became known that Bolton intends to write a book about his work as a national security adviser. Trump fired him a month before, explaining his decision by a strong divergence of views on national security issues.
The court allowed the publication of the book, despite attempts by the presidential administration to ban the publication of memoirs.
