Trump signed an antidoping law

U.S. President Donald Trump signed an antidoping law, previously approved by the U.S. Congress, the so-called “Rodchenkov Act 2019,” said the White House.

The law provides for “criminal sanctions against certain individuals involved in international conspiracy to commit doping fraud, and requires compensation to victims of such conspiracies,” the report said.

Violators face a fine of up to $1 million and imprisonment for up to 10 years. The law does not provide for prosecution of individual athletes found guilty of doping.
