US President Donald Trump is in search of a new slogan for his election campaign. About it writes The Washington Post, referring to its sources.
Initially, the Trump campaign of 2020 took place under the slogan “Keep America Great” – at least, it was written on caps sold on the official website of the campaign and on the signs that its supporters waved, it was also mentioned in television advertising.
However, recently the US president has stepped back from the solemn slogan, reviving his 2016 motto “Make America Great Again”, as well as trying new options: “Transition to Greatness”, “The best is yet to come “(The Best Is Yet to Come) – a phrase from the song of Frank Sinatra, engraved on the gravestone of the singer.
The publication notes that such a move was taken due to the economic crisis in the country caused by the coronavirus pandemic, as well as against the backdrop of nationwide protests. It is also noted that the campaign headquarters has become less likely to use the slogan “Promises are given, promises are fulfilled” (Promises Made, Promises Kept). According to Trump’s associates, a new slogan will be announced in the coming weeks, the newspaper writes.
